iPatient Charge Capture and SignOut are HIPAA compliant and meet or exceed requirements with respect to HIPAA's Privacy and Security Rules.
Lime Medical's servers are located at secure web-hosting facilities on multiply redundant servers. Sensitive patient information is isolated and all transmissions of data (including wireless transmissions) in the system are encrypted using industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption. The system does not permit emailing or faxing, which is not considered secure under HIPAA.
User sessions on the workstation and mobile versions automatically time out to prevent unintentional exposure of sensitive data.
